Sugar printing has always been difficult. Cooks were able to create sugar-based sculptures by hacking standard plastic printers but, in the end, the results have been, shall we say, less than sweet.

Susan Grigsby‘s insight:

Talk about a kid magnet! Printing sugar sculptures with minimal CAD/CAM skills? The price tag is prohibitive for most library makerspaces but, as we all know, the price will come down as the technology improves. This is something I think worth watching.
