Yahoo has acquired SkyPhrase, a startup that builds natural language processing technology, the company revealed today in a blog post.
This could have some major implications in the library world. Will natural language questions lead to more relevant (better) answers? This reminds me of watching Star Trek when the officers would sit around the table and say "Computer. Tell us the history of Sargon 5" and the lovely female voice would give the answer – are we almost there?
