A MiddleWeb Blog
By Kevin Hodgson
Teachers immerse our students in many forms of text. Books, poems, play scripts. Words, words, words.
Susan Grigsby‘s insight:
I LOVED this article and how Mr. Hodgson detailed his visual literacy lesson with students. He is right on target when he talks about the importance of being literate with images – especially with the rise of infographics to help the reader digest a large amount of data. Share this with your ELA teachers but I would also bet this would be a hit with science and math teachers looking for ways to incorporate reading into their subject area.
