Black students, Hispanic students and the economically disadvantaged benefitted more than the general student population when they attended a school with a professional librarian and library support staff.

Pennsylvania requires the prisons to employ a librarian but not the schools. What is wrong with THAT picture? Aren’t our school children worthy of the same level of service as convicted criminals? Wow.
