While I appreciate the effort to "put the ‘T-E in STEM" I think we are missing the fundamental of R – reading. If students can’t read it doesn’t matter how much science, technology, engineering, or math we throw at them they will not succeed. IMHO: it should be STREAM – science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math/music.
